Princess of the Crows

OH THE CROW PRINCESS. I actually "finished" this costume just before the end of October. It was my Halloween costume and I am just absolutely in love with it. I made everything from the overdress to the shirt, to the underskirt to the choker. There are still some things I'd like to add or change, but I'm honestly just ready to move on to other projects and perhaps I'll revisit this at a later time.

Actually having nice pictures of it makes all the work and struggling with that damn brocade seem definitely worth it.

Costume Breakdown:
Shirt and Overcoat pattern: (Altered)M6819 (Black Kona Cotton for the shirt, blue/silver brocade for the overdress.)
Skirt: Three gored skirt with a waistband and ruffles accented with lace. (Black Kona Cotton.)
Choker: Black ribbon with beads and feathers sewn on.

Hair was by my beautiful friend Caroline!
